If you are an employer whose annual payroll exceeds $2 million, this reminder is for you!

Under the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition (known as “Job Skills Act” or “1% Training Law”) you are required to invest the equivalent of at least 1% of your annual payroll into training activities and declare the invested amount to Revenu Québec. Failing to do so will require you to contribute the difference between that 1% and your eligible training expenditures into Quebec’s Workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund.

For the year 2019, Revenu Québec must receive your RL-1 Summary no later than February 29th, 2020.

If you would like support or assistance in calculating and documenting your training expenses, please do not hesitate to contact Solertia’s subject matter expert, Anne-Catherine Verreault, at the contact information below.
