If you are an employer whose annual payroll exceeds $2 million, this reminder is for you!

Under the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition (known as “Job Skills Act” or “1% Training Law”) you are required to invest the equivalent of at least 1% of your annual payroll into training activities and declare the invested amount to Revenu Québec. Failing to do so will require you to contribute the difference between that 1% and your eligible training expenditures into Quebec’s Workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund.

For the year 2021, Revenu Québec must receive your RL-1 Summary no later than February 28th, 2022.

If you would like support or assistance in calculating and documenting your training expenses, please do not hesitate to contact Solertia at info@solertia.ca or at 514-227-8008 ext. 452.

Be careful! Missing the February 28th, 2022 deadline can result in significant financial penalties. For more detailed information on the subject: https://solertia.ca/en/our-solutions/competencies-law/
